Last year, the following IT professionals took on the challenging task of examining the virtues and failings of each shortlisted CIO 100 honouree’s project and will help determine the five winners. The 2014 panel of judges will be announced in due course.

Subrato Basu’s work background includes 21 years in the Asia Pacific, Japan, Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe region. Prior to joining The Research Board and Gartner, he served as CEO and a board member of a Samsung Group company, lending technical and management expertise to direct business activities. Additionally, he functioned as the Chief Technology Officer of eSamsung. Subrato is a member of, among others, The American Chamber of Commerce, Australian Institute of Management, IEEE Computer Society, Singapore Institute of Directors, and Singapore Institute of Management.
General Manager, Information Communication Technology Division, MISC Group

Based in Malaysia, Hood Abu Bakar has to date worked with several multinational corporations and larger local companies throughout a career extending across more than two decades. he had extensive experience in multiple industries—including manufacturing, retails, distribution, automobile personal care, oil & gas and general insurance. He is the recipient of numerous awards handed out by PIKOM, Malaysia’s leading authority on IT development and deployment in the country, including the CIO Recognition Award 2006, CIO Excellence Award 2011 and ICT Organisation of the Year 2011. He is now serving as the Chairman of the PIKOM CIO Chapter and a member of the GLC CIO Group.
Puni built her reputation for fact-based decision support as a business process auditor at Deloitte. Since then, she has conducted IT consumption, management and sales research in Europe and Asia Pacific. In 2007, she co-founded of The Governance Board, a peer-to-peer benchmark council dedicated to understanding IT governance issues. She has also ‘walked the talk’ in marketing and delivery management roles at Cray and Olivetti. She is expert at understanding enterprise software and services use and buying behaviour.

He specialises in electronic commerce, IT entrepreneurship, strategic information systems planning, IT productivity, and knowledge management. Dr Sethi is featured in top IT journals and is highly-ranked among the world’s top MIS professionals regarding research. He has worked with a number of Singapore companies as a consultant and for executive education programs including Abacus International, International Data Corporation, Heller Asia Pacific, Maritime and Port Authority, Trade and Development Board, Singapore Refining Company, Refco, Deutsche Telekom, NTUC, IDA, and MOM. He is also one of the founding members of the CIO 100 panel.
Senior General Manager, IT Department, Employees Provident Fund Malaysia

Andy Tan is one of the leading CIOs in Malaysia having been named of PIKOM CIO of the Year 2006 for his contributions to the transformation of IT Department in Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and revamp of all major systems there from 2005 until 2007. He was also the PIKOM CIO Chapter Chairman for 2009-2011 and during this period started the PIKOM Project Leadership Certifications to enhance professionalism in Project Management in Malaysia context. He has more than 30 years of IT experiences in Banking, vendor and Government and during these periods has also been involved in areas such as Organisation & Methods, Product Development and e-Business and business process reengineering. He is also a well sought after speakers for IT and CIO events.
